How big should your watch be?

The right watch size is the one that feels comfortable on your wrist and looks naturally proportioned. It should sit securely without sliding excessively, while the case complements the shape of your wrist.

AMVON watches are available in a range of classic case sizes. Here's a simple guide to help you find the right fit.

Measure Your Wrist

Wrap a soft measuring tape around the widest part of your wrist, just below the wrist bone.

If you don't have a measuring tape, use a strip of paper or a piece of string. Mark where it meets, then measure the length against a ruler.

Record your measurement in centimetres or inches.

Match Your Wrist to a Case Size

Petite Wrist — Under 14 cm (5.5")

Look for watches around 28mm to 32mm.

Smaller cases generally sit comfortably on slimmer wrists and complement the refined proportions of classic and vintage-inspired designs.

Average Wrist — 14 to 17 cm (5.5" to 6.7")

Cases between 32mm and 38mm are a versatile choice for most wrists.

This range works particularly well with AMVON's classic dress watches and vintage-inspired timepieces.

Larger Wrist — Over 17 cm (6.7")

Consider cases around 38mm to 42mm.

These larger proportions provide a stronger presence while maintaining the refined character of a classic timepiece.

A Note on Proportion

Vintage watches were often smaller than many contemporary watches.

A 32mm–36mm classic watch can create a remarkably elegant presence on the wrist, especially when paired with a slim case, refined dial, and appropriate strap.

At AMVON, our designs are influenced by the proportions and character of classic timepieces rather than following the trend toward increasingly large cases.

If you normally wear a 42mm or larger watch, a smaller vintage-inspired case may feel different at first. Give it some time—the proportions can quickly become part of the appeal.

Strap Width

The strap width depends on the individual watch and case design.

AMVON watches may use different strap widths, such as 18mm, 20mm, or 22mm.

When replacing a strap, make sure the replacement matches the correct lug width of your particular AMVON watch.
